Digital business card for insurance agents

Insurance is a business of referrals and renewals. Someone who meets you at a community event or a claims desk may not need a quote today, but they should be able to find you the day they do. A digital card puts your number, your agency and one way to start a quote a scan away.

What goes on an insurance agent's card

  • Who you are and what you write. Your name, agency and the lines you handle, such as auto, home, life or small business. People rarely know the difference, so say it plainly.
  • A direct way to reach you. A phone number that reaches you or your office, and an email you check.
  • One next step. A link to request a quote, or a link to book a call. A quote form hosted by your agency or carrier works; LinkZae only links to it.
  • Anything required. Licensing and disclosure rules for marketing material depend on your state, your carrier and your agency. LinkZae does not add required wording for you, so ask your compliance contact what must appear, then put it on the page yourself.

Where the QR code helps

  • Direct mail and postcards. A reply that takes one scan is easier than typing a web address from a letter. Print the code large, with space around it.
  • The office window and the front desk. Someone passing after hours can scan it instead of photographing your number.
  • The folder that goes home with a new policyholder. Your contact details stay with the paperwork, which is where people look when they have a claim.
  • Community events and referral partners. A small table sign works for a chamber of commerce mixer or a partner's counter. Referral partners such as lenders and mechanics can show the same code to their customers.
  • Your email signature. Use the email signature QR code tool to size it, and read the QR code business card guide before you print.

Set it up on LinkZae

  1. Sign up with Google or an email address.
  2. In the Links tab, add a link to request a quote, one to book a call, one for your agency page and one for your phone or email.
  3. Open the Profile tab, add your agency logo and publish the page. You choose the address, such as yourname.linkzae.com.
  4. Open the QR tab, download the code as a PNG or SVG, and use it on mail, signs and your signature.

If you only want a code that saves your phone number and email, with no account, the free vCard QR code generator runs in your browser.

Free or Minimal

  • Free: one link page with your logo, a QR code and unlimited links. A small LinkZae badge stays on the page.
  • Minimal ($10/month or $90/year): adds the digital business card with save-to-contacts, a contact book with notes and groups, scan analytics, more templates and no LinkZae badge. A group such as “renewals in March” is a note you keep yourself, not something LinkZae acts on.

What LinkZae does not do

LinkZae is not agency software. There is no CRM integration, no policy or renewal record, no e-signature, no Apple or Google Wallet pass and no mobile app today. If a Wallet pass matters to you, compare how the HiHello and Blinq pages describe theirs; each shows its source with a check date. For another trade with the same needs, see the guide for realtors.

Questions

What should an insurance agent put on a digital business card?

Name, agency, the lines you write, a direct phone number and email, and one link to request a quote or book a call. Check what your state, carrier or agency requires on marketing material, such as a license number, before you publish.

Where can an insurance agent use the QR code?

On direct mail, the office window, a folder that goes home with a new policyholder, event tables and your email signature. Test the printed code at the size you will use.

Can LinkZae keep track of my clients and renewals?

Not as a CRM. Minimal has a contact book with notes and groups, which you can use for reminders such as a renewal month, but there is no CRM integration, no policy record and no reminder that sends itself.

Do clients need an app to save my contact?

No. A LinkZae digital card opens in the phone browser and the contact can be saved without installing anything. The card is part of the Minimal plan; the Free plan gives you a link page with a QR code.

Start with a free link page

Put your quote link, your phone number and your agency page on one page, and print its QR code on your next mailer. Move to Minimal later if you want the card and the contact book.
