Link in bio for a small business: what to put on it

Your Instagram or TikTok bio has little room for links, and a small business has more than one thing to say. A link in bio page is the single address that holds them all. The hard part is deciding what goes on it.

Updated

The four things customers look for

  1. How to buy or book. Your shop, your booking calendar, your order form. This goes first, always.
  2. Where and when you are open. A map link and your hours, or “by appointment” with how to make one.
  3. How to reach you. A phone number and an email address that people can tap.
  4. Proof you are real. A link to your reviews page, a gallery of past work or a menu.

Keep the list short

Aim for about six links, with the one you most want clicked at the top. If you run a promotion, put it first for the length of the promotion and move it down afterward. Name each link for what happens when it is tapped (“Book a table”, not “Click here”).

Use the same page offline

A link in bio page is also the page behind a QR code. The same address can sit on the counter, on receipts, on a window sticker, on delivery bags and on a business card, so customers who never see your Instagram still reach it. For card printing advice, see the QR code business card guide; for email, the email signature QR code tool.

Set it up on LinkZae

  1. Sign up with Google or an email address.
  2. In the Links tab, choose Add link. Enter a title and the address for each link.
  3. Switch to the Profile tab, add your logo and publish. You pick the address, such as yourshop.linkzae.com.
  4. Put that address in your Instagram and TikTok bio, then download the QR code from the QR tab for print.

The LinkZae dashboard is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Indonesian and Turkish, which helps if you or your staff work in more than one language.

What the Free plan includes

  • One link page with your logo, a QR code (PNG and SVG) and unlimited links.
  • Two page templates and six accent colors. A small LinkZae badge stays on the page.
  • Minimal ($10/month or $90/year) adds more templates, the design studio, scan analytics, digital business cards with a contact book, and removes the badge.

Questions

What should a small business put on a link in bio page?

The three things customers ask for most: how to buy or book, where and when you are open, and how to contact you. Add one or two extras, such as a menu or a review page.

How many links should a link in bio page have?

Fewer than you think. Six or so, with the most important first. A long list hides the one link you want people to tap.

Can I put the same page on a sign or receipt?

Yes. Your LinkZae page has a QR code you can download as a PNG or SVG and print, so the same page serves Instagram and the shop counter.

Is a LinkZae link page free?

Yes. The Free plan has one link page with your logo, a QR code and unlimited links. A small LinkZae badge stays on Free pages; Minimal removes it.

Make your link page

One page for your shop, your hours and your phone number, with a QR code for the counter. It is free to start and needs no credit card.
