How it works
- Fill in your details. A name or a company is enough.
- Check the preview, then download the QR code as a PNG or SVG, or the contact itself as a .vcf file.
- Put the QR code on a card, a flyer, a badge or an email signature. Scan it with your own phone first.
What is inside the QR code
The code holds your contact details themselves, written as a standard vCard (version 3.0). There is no link and no server in between. Two things follow from that:
- Scanning it needs no internet connection, and LinkZae cannot see or count scans.
- It cannot be edited after you print it. If a phone number changes, you need a new code.
Tips for a code that scans
- Keep only the fields you need. Every extra field makes the code denser, and a denser code is harder to scan.
- Print dark squares on a light background and leave the empty margin around the code as it is.
- Test it with more than one phone before you print a batch. Camera apps handle contact QR codes differently.
Questions
Is the information I type uploaded?
No. The vCard and the QR code are created by your browser. What you type is not sent to LinkZae, and LinkZae does not store it. It is gone when you close the tab.
Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for.
What can I download?
The QR code as a PNG or an SVG, and a standard .vcf (vCard 3.0) contact file.
Want a code you can keep up to date?
This generator puts your details inside the code, so the code is fixed once it is printed.
