Digital business cards for hair and beauty salons

Picture a beauty salon: the client is in the chair, the treatment nearly done. She is happy: “let me get your number, I'll send it to a friend too.” The classic version of this moment: someone hunts for a paper card at reception, the client drops it in her bag and never sees it again, and the friend never gets the number. A digital business card exists to rescue exactly this moment: a QR code at the mirror, saved to the client's phone in thirty seconds.

One page for the whole salon

A salon's communication is scattered across three channels: work gets posted on Instagram, appointments happen over WhatsApp, and the phone number relies on the client writing it down somewhere. A digital card gathers all three behind one link:

  • Booking link: your booking system or a direct WhatsApp line, at the top of the page.
  • Instagram: where your work lives; one tap from the page.
  • Save to contacts: the salon's name, number and address download as a vCard.

Where the QR goes: the mirror and the register

The mirror corner is the most valuable ad space in the salon: it is the one place the client looks at throughout the visit, usually with her phone already in hand. A small sticker saying “save us to your contacts” works while the color sets or the blow-dry finishes. The second natural spot is the payment moment: a small standing card by the register, reading “save us for your next appointment,” catches the client with her phone already out.

Tip: add a one-line action next to the QR: “Scan, save, book on WhatsApp.” Clients scan far more readily when they know what will happen.

What changes once you are in their contacts

  • You appear in WhatsApp: the “are you free Thursday?” message goes to a familiar name, not a search box.
  • Your calls show a name: unknown numbers go unanswered; a salon name gets picked up.
  • Referrals become one tap: “let me send you my hairdresser” is just forwarding a contact card, address and links included.

A paper card does none of this. Even when photographed, it sinks into the gallery.

Setup, step by step

  1. Enter the salon details: name, phone, address, hours; use the logo or storefront as the photo.
  2. Order the links: booking channel first, Instagram second, map link last. More than three is noise.
  3. Download and print the QR: a sticker for the mirror, a standing card for the register. Test with your own phone before printing.
  4. Brief the team: one sentence: “show happy clients the code on the mirror.”

Common mistakes

  • Drowning the page in links. Clients want two things: to book and to see your work.
  • Hanging the QR out of eye line. Behind the door or near the ceiling means never scanned. Mirror and register.
  • Set-and-forget. A stale page is no better than a paper card; updates take two minutes and the QR never changes.

Cost

The link page and QR code are on linkzae's free plan. Your only physical cost is printing a few stickers and cards per salon. When your details change, there is no reprint: the QR stays, the page behind it updates.
